Now that its mentioned, I'm surprised that we haven't seen any plans for elite flashbacks of Rey Mysterio, Randy Orton, John Cena, or Chris Jericho. They wouldn't have to waste a FB slot on them, just replace their own usual figures, collectors will mark out and kids will still likely buy them. They make a lot of Basic Heritage Series Cena's and Ortons and Mysterio's and they don't seem to sell very good. Mattel never seem to take chances anymore, if something doesn't sell they tend not to do anything similar again. Cena was part of the last Defining Moments series and look what happened there. Jericho Flashbacks would sell really well though.

Jericho Flashbacks would sell really well though. Mainly because the main audience that these heritage figures appeal to collect only elites, so they don't pick them up in the basic lines as they don't want a figure that would stick out like a sore thumb. Besides, Defining Moment was doomed the second big names like The Rock, Stone Cold and especially Macho Man failed to fly off the shelves. Any single figure would have been difficult to sell at retail when it's $20+. Look at Bret in the same series, he was also in the last series but is still a selling name as long as the price is reasonable (IE WM30). Same with Jericho, his EG was a classic look but his articulation and price held him back on the shelves. Articulation and price are the key to success with classic looks.

Hey guys, just letting you know that Paul's Basic 39 shipment is scheduled to be shipping from Mattel early next week. Depending on what day they ship he might have them either late next week or early the following week. Still looks like it's going to be the end of the month on Battle Packs 28 and no word yet one Elite 28.

Paul sent another email today and they told him that his Basic 39 shipment was just sent to the center this morning and would be shipping early next week. He got the same info last Friday saying it went down Friday morning and would be shipping early this week. So who knows when those will show up. Still no info on Elite 28 or Battle Packs 28.
